I posted this on another thread and thought it deserved a post. Yes, my ego is that big.
I actually don't care if Green was put up to buy the club initially by Whyte. As it's clear he has nothing to do with the guy now.
The media in our backward little nation has nothing to write about bar Mrs MacDoogle being robbed in the post office in Inverness.
Our so called country has half the population of London and needs to create stories to sell papers and get them a job in the UK national press.
As we saw all summer when just about everyone of them lied bar Traynor to put the boot into Rangers and ignoring the actual facts.
The slate Rangers, they slate Celtic, they slate anyone for a story.
Our media is a joke!
I don't care...

"but the lights over the water did happen. So much so even the US President at the time condemned it and asked for it to stop. They also asked for the Irish Government to stop providing safe haven for German U boats."

I presume the "Liam Devlin" you are referring to is the character in the book "The Eagle has landed". He was indeed approached by the Germans to kidnap Churchill. He was arrested in Dublin after a shootout with the Irish police incidentally one of the charges the state made against him was membership of an illegal organisation - the I R A
As for incidents of u boats being re-fueled, i've never ever heard of that, apart from on here. If you could provide evidence of such i'd be much obliged. Oh and yes Dev did send his condolences, much to the annoyance of the Irish people
