Realised you posted this ages ago Dave but I was cooked up with man flu and tooth ache so crashed out. I never once slated the benefits system so be careful with your accusations. My mum relies on Tex credits just to pay the build yet this Tory government want to end that, she also relies on my brothers DLA money which has now stopped, despite working 50+ hours doing two separate jobs a week, so don't lecture to me about benefits,

What I said, was Thatcher created so much unemployment that a generation of lifetime unemployed who saw no future for themselves and no hope became layabouts. These are the same people who had kids who are now repeating that cycle and who are having kids who are doing the same. Its a social issue that needs addressing through education, not nationwide indiscriminate benefits cuts which ate hitting hard working people like my mum the hardest

You never hear of landowners, the aristocracy and farmers being called scroungers even though they have the begging bowl out for all the grants and subsidies they can get their hands on.
