Guacamelee

If you haven’t already and have a few spare coins, you should put some serious consideration into purchasing Guacamelee.

I don’t have as much time for gaming as I used to, and whilst I love Borderlands 2, it’s just not possible for me to play in half hour sessions. Guacamelee is perfect for that, you can squeeze in a bit of gaming without feeling like you’ve spent most of your time in menus or can’t quite get to that next save point before you have to hit the power button.

Guacamelee may not be for some, but personally, I think it has great sound and visuals, with references to other games throughout. It’s almost a throwback to the early days of gaming, where games require quick fingers and at times a bit of trial and error. It has great combat and a colour code system means that you really have to learn your moves and combos so you can’t go in with button bashing gung-ho.

Anyway, if you’re a bit of an old school gamer and are looking for something other than colossal shooters, you should check this out.

Anybody played this yet? If so, what did you think? Also, can anybody recommend any games in the same bracket?

Not seen it in any shops. Is it a major release or more of an indie promotion?
