History and culture obviously means a lot to Palermo's Javier Pastore, who has decided to snub Chelsea and move to PSG this summer. He has been quoted on the BBC website this morning with the following view:
"You can officially say I will be a Paris St Germain player, although I still need to do the medical and review some details," said Pastore.
"I want to be a part of PSG, a great club with a great history."
Having a rich sugar daddy has enabled Chelsea to punch above their weight in the transfer market of late but it seems with new investment by PSG's Qatari owners, the novelty of Chelsea is wearing thin.
My point is that with all financial matters being equal, top class players will always pick the club with more provenance and history. Man City also have a richer tradition and now they can compete with Chelsea financially players like Sergio Aguero voted with their feet and made the move to Manchester.
Are we seeing the beginning of the end for the Chelsea gravy train? only time will tell, but one things for sure Chelsea doesn't seem to hold the attraction for the top players any more.

At last you've said something sensible Aggers - I think Aguero is going to be massive in the PL.

haha well im not getting involved
i do tend to side against liverpool in arguements because of the whole "history" thing which gets brought up alot and the fact that alot of my friends are liverpool fans and their constant chirping sometimes bug me (for example the second kenny took over last season liverpool were going to beat city to 4th, which never looked likely to happen and didnt) but despite that i do have a respect for liverpool and what you have achieved, albeit with recent decline and what i believe are some underwhelming recent signings, you'll still be there or there abouts as you always are
And interesting opinions on aguero. most people didnt think silva would be a hit for us and would be yet another expensive flop, but how they were wrong! i only hope aguero is just as big a flop as silva was
