McClaren worried

Seems that Forest are in bigger doo-doo than us when it comes to transfers and money but I've still seem them tipped for promotion on here.

Surely they can't be fancied above Leeds!

It's not like it wasn't public knowledge that forest werent spending, that's why Davies left for voicing his concerns.

And apart from a couple of teams a gentle stroll around other forums shows lots of fans are feeling depressed about their propects. Lots are saying 'where are the signings'.

Perhaps, just perhaps, the financial problems are beginning to hit home with clubs but that as has been said by a number of commentators on football, the agents and players have yet to realise it.

Someone said the other day that players go to 'name' managers [albeit ones with money!!!] but look at what McLaren says:
"We are a little frustrated off the field," McClaren added. "It took us too long to bring in experienced players, and we're still not at the stage where I would say the squad is complete.
We're searching and searching, but I've got to say it's very frustrating.
I'd like some [new players] in today, tomorrow. If that's possible I don't know, but we're working very, very hard behind the scenes to bring people in.
We're competitive in what we have, I think we're roughly the same team, the same squad as last season.
But there's still a lot of work to be done off the field."

Could be Leeds or any number of other clubs.

Perhaps, all, it ain't as easy as some seem to think.
It isn't just about money - it also about personality [fitting in] and ego [preferably lowering it!].

There is no chance we'll be in a relegation fight. We're just as strong as we were last season missus Earnshaw who didn't start the play-off games, I have every confidence we''ll somewhere between 4th and 8th.

I've been monitoring your situation recently, doesn't look too rosy, a lot of people undecided between who should go Bate or Grayson, I think you need to get rid of the former.

Left or sacked because McLaren was available.

McLaren isn't foolish enough to try and convince everybody that they're stronger than last season, though.
