was trawling through You Tube last night and for some reason (I don't know why, between you and I, I had searched for "Miss Whiplash Basildon") I came across 20 minutes of Leeds v Arsenal in 1972. Arsenal had just done the double and - well - we anihiliated them.
I just kept watching as Hunter (who was - ahem - "marking" Charlie George) would win the ball, give it to Bremner, to Giles, to Bremner to Lorimer and - bang - another chance for Clarke (actually, he was quite wasteful in this game anyway).
I had almost forgotten what it was like to see a top Leeds team utterly dominate a game.
After that I was lost, so I was up late watching us beat Barcelona to go to the European Cup final, a nice annihilation of the sc ' m 5-1...... and so on. Worse ways to spend a couple of hours.
PLEASE can I see another Leeds team like that before I snuff it......
Just feel like saying....

They should be grateful he's not a director of traffic, that would be an accident(s) waiting to happen.

I hear a rumour that he's earmarked as the next Leeds United Chairman. Apparently Ken Bates recommended him for the role just to annoy a particular moron...?
He said, 'As GFH reckon he's a legend it would be the ideal position, what with me as Life President' he said...!
I might have heard it wrong...?

Eric, are you sure you didn't dream it, as lets be honest, that scenario playing out would be perfection for us Leeds fans

No it wasn't a dream, as I say I might have heard it wrong.
It was overheard on a street corner in Middleton. The fellow that said it was about 5'8" tall, wore a green suit and big orange hat. The lady with him was a bit hard of hearing so he shouted it out twice. But in fairness he might also have been shouting Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevening po...!
