It's 25 years to the day, yesterday for you nitpickers...that Wolves competed in the Football League Centenary Tournament at Wembley
We drew 1-1 with a 35 yard Robbie Dennison screamer against Everton, but lost on penalties.
The Wolves sections were packed & the fans did us proud.

Vaguely remember the tournament Simon. Not very high profile and I never went.
I suppose it counts as another Wembley appearance that the Albion can't match.

Yes Tranmere did really well with superb support. I remember Crystal Palace brought the most fans, & the big teams like Man U & Liverpool didn't. As the games were only 20 min e/w none of them really got going. After our game they were pretty well all 0-0's so I went home
Yes Wolves playing at Wembley certainly counts as another Wembley appearance.

I’ve just had to check that this wasn’t a wind up and that it actually happened. I have no recollection of it at all despite being a regular by then. Quite worrying.

You didn't have to check Tatter but of course we all know it's your favourite past time.
Which incidentially seems to occupy most of your time!
There's a life out there to live.

I was a regular in those days, home and away, but didn't go - can't remember why.
