This season is worse than the last three, which were largely a case of grafting, glorious draws and hanging on, but conceding last minute goals (as per today). I just crave for some quality football, some reasons to be cheerful again.
There are a load of reasons for our decline, poor recruitment, player apathy, managerial decisions, poor management, poor investment etc etc i could go on.
However for me there is one problem that simply has not been solved. For three or four years its been the same, we cannot keep the ball, we give it away too easily, we panic, we hoof, we squander possession and control. Therefore leaving effort, hope and luck to be our control.
It doesn't change overnight and the personnel need to change I know. But I'm concerned that we still haven't addressed an obvious issues. We still haven't learned that we have an inability to control, dictate, create and own a match.
Genuinely I worry (whoever the manager is) that until we solve this we will struggle, its so important in winning and closing out games, we need to address this wherever we are next season, whoever is in charge as possession is 9 tenths of the score.

To be fair, the defence has suffered from the center back pairing glancing across and seeing the hapless stephen ward stood there most of the time, thats enough to destroy any kind of calmness.
And you will ote i mentioned world stage with my initial comment peter, that was to deflect the criticism away from scotland who will likely not be appearing on the world stage for quite sometime
