Chewing the fat: Pete's two cents

Okay, that was funny (in a not-really-laugh-out-loud way, rather a pull-your-hair-out in anger way). Here are my thoughts:
- This game cemented my opinion that we really screwed up with Sturridge. I was actually disappointed he didn't celebrate like a madman, it would have been fantastic.
- What a despicable human being Luis Suarez is. Liverpool should fire him today or at least sell at all costs in the summer. I have so much respect for the institution, and he is quickly destroying what the club stand for. The FArce needs to deal with this very, very harshly.
- Football is a funny business, isn't it? In any other, Suarez would be out the door straight away. I'm fairly sure you could go to jail for that in certain circumstances.
- Time to bring up video referees?
- Fine goal from Oscar didn't know he had that in his locker.
- I was impartial to Rafa bringing off Mazacar, but I feel Terry should have been organising that back line towards the end of the game.
- At the risk of bringing the wrath of the Chelsea fans down on me, Torres' diving is really starting to annoy me. When he appealed for a foul when Carragher got a slight touch on him... It's a contact game!
- On that note, Carragher could well have seen red, as could have Sturridge.

Final note: Liverpool fans, would you like to have Rafa as a manager for next season? I am unconvinced by Rodgers and maintain you would be better off with Dalglish.

Why would Liverpool fire or sell its best player over a moment of madness. He will be punished...just like every other player is punished when they make mistakes. When he punishment is up, he'll go back to being one of the best players in the world.

I'd rather keep Rodgers, he's impressed me this season and I believe in the direction he is taking us. On any other circumstances I'd take Rafa back tomorrow but I couldn't deal with another transition season.

It's an ongoing problem though, TOOR, not just one incident. As I said, no one would think twice in any other business. But obviously I see why it would be stupid to fire him.
Plenty of people and journalists were calling for JT to be fired after being proved innocent of being a racist... Just a point.

As far as i'm concerned, it's the first proven incident at Liverpool.

No regrets over the Sturridge departure.
