Everyone seems to be missing the big point

In case all you lot have missed it LFC scored two goals.

In the past 6 games LFC have done one of two things...

the first is absolutley easy to defend. the players hang out on the edge of the box hoping for a through ball or drop off towards the passer. They are VERY easy to defend against

the second is getting into the box in good positions.

Yesterday on a couple of occasions a forward actually bothered getting into the 6 yard area and amazing they scored off a cross.

In the previous 2 matches we did'nt do this at all despite quite a few really dangerous balls going in.

We only scored against southampton with countinho from close range as well.

Even downing could scored from 2 yards out as proved v wigan.

In short our game is simply nowhere near good enough to slip passes through packed defences but we do have attacking full backs and wingers playing so I am amazed nobody wants to point this out.

Because Rogers is out of his depth. His inability to make subs proves it. When he does make a sub he brings Shelvey on!

Shelvey is rubbish

Shelvey made things happen when he came on, but he's a loose cannon.

Shelvey missed a sitter, made a horrible mistimed tackle and as per every game hit row Z with a poor technique long range shot. The guy needs to improve on his decision making.

Yesterday he did make things happen but there has been other games where he has come on and done nothing. For me his development needs a season long loan to a prem club. No point having him on the bench next season or playing for u21s. He clearly has ability, confidence and swagger but needs to produce it consistently which a loan will help.

Henderson had a poor game. I was happy he was confident in what he was doing but nothing came off this time. Shelvey made things happen when he came on, he looked to score, he made runs into the box. Yes he missed a good chance, saying it was a sitter is wrong in my opinion, you had the goalkeeper central, closer to the left and the defender on the right, Shelvey tried to be precise and put it in the one place where it would definitely go in, bottom left corner. He missed, it happens.

He did well early in the season and he's getting good experience. He will improve.

don't know why we are discussing the shelver or big foot henderson.

we got countino in the box for southampton goal, downing v wigan and yesterday it was both suarez aqnd sturridge....

but look at west ham and i could count 3 times that ball went really dangerously along their 6 yard box and nobody at all in there.
