Every season we're fed the same lines about money to spend, a war chest etc etc.
Now that's all well and good but when the transfer window slams shut at the end of the summer we've made another profit and sold our best players.
My question is, why do so many supporters think it will be different this summer?
Us fans are currently linking ourselves with some really great players, players who would cost 1.5 x the largest fee we've ever paid (at least 1.5 x).
For me there's nothing to suggest this summer will be any different to previous ones, obviously I'd love it to be but as far as I'm aware our owner is still a greedy American, we already have a very pricey wage bill and have stadium debts to pay.

I believe players in will depend mainly on players out.
We won't be signing Jovetic or any striker is Bendtner and Chamakh are both in the squad next season, not to mention Park

The fact that Arsene has openly come out and said we have proper money to spend for the first time since moving to the stadium. Also the new commercial deals and the players who are out of contract in the summer will give us loads of money + open up some wages.

do we seriously want wenger to spend any more money on duds?
Lets face it most of his big money signings have been poor. his best business is done in the mid market £7-12mil.

We still have Djourou , Gervinho, Park, Santos, Bendtner and Chamakh,etc. I'll take us paying them our own money for a Bundle sale ffs.

new commercial deals, FFP, the club themselves saying we now have money to spend. plenty of things to suggest we will spend.

I think this summer it WILL be different but I'm not that optimistic.
