That 10 game drought will be the reason if he doesn't, but these awards are usually in favor of players on title contending teams.
I think it's voted for in February as well.

The PFA award is basically decided by the media.
Think about it, the players play each other twice a season.
The rest of the time they're relying on TV coverage - just like the rest of us.
They'll see exactly he same camera angles, replays, highlights and " incidents " that we do.
The Match of The Day / Sky Sports " Darling " is usually a fairly safe bet every year.
