I think he's shaken off this label of him being a "weak link" he's easily the best shot stopper in the league, we already knew this.
But he now is starting to command his area and seems a hell of a lot braver than he was last season. I can't actually remember a mistake to be honest, Iām sure he's made a couple as ALL keepers make mistakes.
His distribution is also the best and by some distance.

ive had to laugh about it.
all last season i was one of the people on here saying he should be number one while others were calling for AL to be given the number 1 jersey.
far too many people expected far too much from a young lad, from a different country, playing a different style of football and under immense pressure before he'd even made his first appearance.

He is unbelievable. Shot stopping wise i think he is already up there with the great Iker Casillas and praise doesnt come much higher than that.
He is clearly a top keeper, in a few years time he will be fighting it out with Courtois to be the best keeper in the world.

Don't think he is the best keeper yet but will soon be. Cech and Lloris have been better.

De Gea has been fantastic this season, the media have had to concentrate on other players, because they were getting nothing negative out of him in this season. I'm so pleased for the lad, coming to a new country, new culture, new physical league and go on to win the league title. Must be proud!
Fingers crossed for no move to Barcelona in Summer 2014.

Only a fool wouldn't have seen this coming. He's a brilliant goalkeeper that can only get better.
His mentality is his greatest strength. He's had to overcome the most vicious hate campaign the media have tried to instigate since the PL's inception. The articles and outright lies regarding his performances were disgraceful.
Never doubted him for a second.
