Why doesn't silent Sam make a Directors loan? In fact I'd go further. Vote Usmanov onto The Board. He suggested a Rights Issue; The Directors turned it down because maybe they didn't want to dilute their shareholdings. Under the circumstances, it seems likely that if Usmanov came onto The Board, he would make a Directors Loan to bridge the temporary sell/buy gap.
Judging by Hill Woods latest pronouncement, he seems to be the best candidate to stand down and let Usmanov take his place on The Board of Directors. Even better get Usmanov on board and bring in Dein as Chairman.
If Arsenal need to sell before they can buy

Why doesn't Fireman Sam make a Director's loan too?
And Sammy Davis Jr.
And Sam I Am. (We could buy some green eggs and ham).

Ivan Lizardface should be twisting Stan Concker's arm into giving Arsene Winiger-mammaries some spondoolicks to spend on the team in the way David "Spartacus" Dein would have done.
Useless bunch of old....

It's not that we need to sell before we can buy.
Its that we won't buy unless we have to sell.

There's no transparency with the transfer policy. So many conflicting stories and rumours.
Granted clubs need not air their intentions and financial situations like laundry drying on the line. But the situation is starting to cause serious friction amongst the lifeblood of the club, the fans...
If this dynamic continues and worse still, hampers Arsenal's chances and performances in the coming season, I honestly envisage a massive kickback amongst certain sections of the clubs fanbase.
All the while a dubious, but filthy rich Uzbeki shareholder is waiting in the wings playing "the long-game"...

Teehee! No seriously, he loves Arsenal, like REALLY loves them. He referred to them as a "beautiful woman" stopping just short at the Adebayor - Beyonce/Milan analogy...
