Sir Alex Ferguson being as old school as they come may be tempted to leave RVP on the bench this Sunday so as not to rub Arsenal's noses in it.
Had we needed to win this game i'm sure RVP would have played but as it's not entirely vital we win I can see the boss leaving him out of the side especially as there will most likely be a guard of honour and the boss is respectful enough not to antagonise the Arsenal supporters.
If this happened would United supporters understand? Would the gesture be treated for what it would most likely be? A manager who is able to make these choices with the good of the game at heart. Would this change the opinions of him by the Arsenal supporters?
