First of all this is not an article about wanting rafa re-instated!
On one of the current articles on the liverpool board I saw a comment saying that Rafa would have excelled in the current conditions at the club.
I thought this is quite an interesting idea. We all know rafa was tied down for funding because of the Yanks, so with the finances in place could he have pushed for the title?
On a counter argument with Commoli there giving his advice on the transfers, would Rafa be able to work with him?
And with the players having lost faith in Rafa, would there have been any point keeping him, even if the new owners had come during his tenure.
In the end I think we can respect Rafa for what he did during his time at the Club, and even though this is all theoretical it certainly beats doing work.
Anyways reds, what do you think?
Rafa under current set up?

Couldn't see raffa being told who to buy, tbh.

don't see why not
he almost never got who he asked for anyway.

Yeah, but if he couldn't pick the club biscuits, then he would kick off. Apparently he wanted bourbons but Hicks demanded custard creams.

That's the only thing I would agree with him about, custard cream pi55 on bourbons!

We all know Rafa peaked 2009/2010 season. He did some great stuff at Liverpool and threw a few hissy fits too. I suspect he would have fallen out with any bosses eventually but the main difference would be (eufa rules aside) he wouldn't have put such emphasis on British players.
I find it interesting that he genuinely believes he could return one day, if only because he isn't really a one or two season manager and needs time to build in his own style.

Got a feeling this lot will expect the signings to be right first time and rafas multiple signing in each position wouldn't go down well, also if were not up there challenging for top 4 kenny may start feeling the heat
