Suarez Ban

I have posted on here and not the Liverpool board as I don't want to wind too many people up. But to get a 10 match ban in my opinion is very lenient.
Lets forget the fact the man isn't very nice (to put it mildly) but if he had done this anywhere other than a football pitch he would have been put in prison. My 4 year old girl would have been expelled from nursery as well if she had done something similar but being a footballer it seems they think they are above the law.

Liverpool and their manager have again performed very badly and Rogers should have taken the punishment on the chin. I feel he is almost condoning the mans actions by complaining about the length of the ban.

The good name of this once great club has been let down again. Football is constantly kicking itself in the foot and well done the FA for handing out this ban. It is a shame liverpool haven't added a 10 match fine for this fool as this is the only way to stop him acting like an idiot.

At the FA hearing yesterday after receiving his 10
match ban Liverpool have issued a statement:
Luis Suarez is a great footballer, but sometimes he
really makes a meal of things.
But you cant question the lad's hunger!
He's shown that he still has a great appetite for the
game.

Defo bit a player the same as saurez Gerard elbow someone FFS they are really the same

It is in the rules, the FA cannot ban for an incident the referee already dealt with.

Considering Liverpool have benefited from this law it is extremely hypocritical of them to accuse the FA of being biased because of this rule.

You benefit and lose out because of the rule the same as every other club.

To make it that rule is some kind of conspiracy against Liverpool is as laughable as some of the other conspiracies the Liverpool fans love peddling.

Sorry if this offends but I put the problem down to the ridiculously soft UK culture....that I DO NOT miss. We seem to 'cry' about any little misdemeanour. I watched the movie Blood Diamond the other day and realized what a bunch of whingers fill the UK. It put EVERYTHING into 'global' perspective for me. Try growing up where he did and out it side by side with your own experience and 99% will look ridiculous. It might be sad, but here in Latin America, I observe it all the time in adults; they carry many of these hard-nosed habits with them through life, no different from people in the UK.

No one says his behaviour is good; but the halls of the FA are filled with double standards and hypocrisy. What the guy needs is help and sympathy, not criticism; to realize that he has be a good example to the kids who admire his football and to see that the gift of a footballing talent is ruined by a bad habit. Smokers are helped to quit a bad habit in a positive way - this guy needs the same approach.

I find Liverpool extremely hypocritical in all of this.

It's unacceptable for a Liverpool player blah blah blah, but hey he's still part of our family and if teh FA decide to give an increased punishment for a repeat offender then we'll cry that it's shocking an unfair etc.

Liverpool, stop whining, control your player and you wouldn't be in this mess.

We'd all love the society you live in Real Estate. Marvellous place eh...?

How did you so eloquently put it the other week

'..Thing is, people don't punch annoying people here, they tend to just use a gun and have done with it..'

Just the sort of society we want eh...?

Jonty, your last line is spot on.

You forget the summer break when their players (and new signings) become world class and they look forward to lifting the premiership title

7/20 ................ yep, so much anticipation, so much expectation - and so much money spent. Yet still they stay mid table.

That being said - they've got a good manager. I expect more from them next season.

Still a bunch of whiners ........ !!!!!

Their boards are easy pickings the last couple of days.............

Unfortunately they have started to look pretty good recently (the two 0-0's excluded) with a good signing or two in the summer they could make top 4 next year...

Lets hope not though, fingers crossed.
