There's reports spurs made a bid for samba, in a cash and player deal. The players are apparantly to be any of defoe, keane, bentley and bassong.
I would personally accept an offer of, no cash and we could take both defoe and bassong!
What do you think?
Player and cash deal for Samba

Yea its not just that, i believe center back are much easier to replace than strikers so the original deal i put together, i would accept.

Know what you mean but I don't believe in selling them when they're on long contracts unless its a huge offer. Obviously if we're stubborn 1 of 2 things can happen, he can go into a sulk and play worse or he can persuade teams to stump up the extra cash by playing better. Even if Samba goes for the sulk option we can just ignore him and he'll get bored and go back to playing well again in a few months (like Fabregas does every season when he can't go to Barca).
You wouldn't have Bentley back? He was amazing before he left, could play right-wing or centre-mid and ran the show for us most games.

Definitely would not have Bentley back, not after the way he left. Plus, he's not the same player now.

Why how did he leave? Don't see why he wouldn't be, he's still only 26. Make him the focus of our attacking play again, stroke his ego, starting place every game, he'll soon snap out of this funk at Spurs.

The way he said we weren't big enough for him and all that crap. I'd rather bring in Vierinha than Bentley.

1 of my mates is a armchair fan of spurs, thats why have seen a few games in pre season and bentley looks really shocking these days. I do agree, he was a real good player for us.
I know what your saying about samba, i heard andy cryer on talk sport talking about him, saying his really good for blackburn and his an important player but if he can do it at the top level is a different matter as he as a few mistakes in him and i totally agree with that.

Well to be honest we probably weren't, we aren't big enough for anyone who wants to play in the Champions League, England or in front of more than 25,000. We're a small club who have done well to stay in this league for so long. Rating Rovers anything above that is just clinging onto the 90s glory days.
PL experience counts for a lot in my opinion, probably about 50% of foreigners who come over here fail and I dunno what the percentage is from the Greek league but I'd say a lot lower (still have nightmares about Donis). We know Bentley can succeed at PL level playing PL style, Vierinha could well struggle with both. Still I'd settle for either rather than the current none!

Donis was supposed be the fastest player in the world at the time, he was shat, the problem was we never really built on the championship side, that was the only signing that summer. Now was this hartfords fault or jack pulling the cheque book back?

Bentley had already been picked for the England team, he left saying it was to further his career. Took it to new heights didn't he.

Bentley is the epitome of the saying 'egg on your face'.
He took levels of arrogance to a level where his mouth wrote cheques that his backside couldn't cash and he has done nothing but rot away in the Spurs reserves ever since his move. No pity for him after him running his mouth on Sky Sports News.
