No offence to Bale, who has had a great season, but I just don't think the same player should win both player and young player awards.

Once a player has won the major award then then the young player award should be given to the 2nd placed young player.

That's not an anti Bale or Spurs view, it just seems a stupid award system.

Bale wouldn't have won if he wasn't English. Should've been Walcott. Corrupt FA.

And while I'm at it us Welsh would never shorten Gareth to Gary....Usually its shortened to Gar.

If a player wins the POTY and they're young enough to win YPOTY, then its common sense that they win both. You cant be the best player that season overall - and not the best for a much smaller category that you also fit into.

Its just common sense to be fair....
