I gather Sunderland are also contesting Sessegnon's red card now.

Nothing to do with Sessegnon going in and treading on the lad's foot then.

It may well have been 6-2 either way with lots of variables in between, we will never know..As for the sending off, his studs were not up, but he did stand on his toe. This has rarely been deemed a straight red card offence, and in my opinion was very harsh to say the least...Villa players were diving about all night like demented salmon, and the ref seemed to be falling for it every time..

Not every red card needs to be a studs up.Treading on someone is just as bad as kicking them.
I just think Di Canio wants Sessegnon for the last few games and is overlooking the clear foul. It's a cynical appeal, and I'll be amazed if the FA allow it.

The difference being that going in with your studs up should always be deemed as intentional..In this case it was obviously with anyone with half an eye that it was a genuine attempt to get the ball fairly that went wrong..

I disagree, the referee disagreed and the FA also disagree.

I didn't expect anything else from the FA...I'm sure if it had been a Man U player it would have been a different outcome though..
