RVP hurt by all the abuse

Apparently RVP's hurt by all the abuse he got at the emirates on Sunday. Well what the feck was he expecting? Is he genuinely that naive? From what i can see he was not upset about the fact that he got the abuse but more so with scale of it, which i find totally absurd. If anything it should have been a whole lot worse. It's common knowledge that gooners are loudest when booing former players (or current players like eboue). He's been there when we've given former 's like Gallas and Adebayor that treatment so don't understand why he's upset by it. You don't sign for united. He made the choice, won his trophy, golden boot, player of the season whatever and congratulations to him for that but it takes nothing away from the fact that he's a total =====D

I'd agree on that Wilshere, only to back up RVP with the amount of time he spent injured is alot to ask of any second choice player. You could even say RVP's backups were hampered by his constant injury.

I can think of a few times the backups were on nice runs when he "returned to fitness" and they just got dropped. Chamakh's Record ECL scoring run is the best example of this. Chamakh was flying til Wenger dropped him for RVP. Killed Chamakh's streak and confidence in one fowl swoop.

Wishire a club the size of Arsenal should have more than one top striker, Utd's winning years, they often have 3-4, remember when you had Henry and RVP? Henry left, you never adequately replaced him IMO

hoe can they be bitter about RVP leaving he has left and already has a PL under his belt, if Man U invest wisely they will be very competitive in the CL next year aswell. He has left for bigger better things just like Fabregas did, Henry did, Ashley Cole did ect... Until Arsenal can get back to winning trophies they will struggle to keep hold of top players, I am sure the top European clubs are looking at the likes of Wiltshire and Cazorla at the moment Arsenal are a stepping stone club probably the best in the business.

RVP hurt by all the abuse

Is anyone suprised about that? The players these day havent got their feet on the ground. That's why?

poor Robin.

did he want us to sing his name and cheer his goal? I understand why he left and am not bitter about it, but come on, how silly is he to not expect abuse when he goes to Man Utd after Arsenal nursed him through 7 seasons of injury!

anyway, I hope this is put to bed now. he is gone and we move on.

We used to have Henry, Bergkamp, Wilthord and a young RVP as our front men.

I was there and I thought he didn't really get it that badly, apart from as he was waiting to take the penalty.

Someone I was talking to compared his situation last year to a 30-something woman who is broody and desperate for a kid leaving the man she loves for someone else because he's firing blanks... but the new guy she was looking for had to be rich. I found that quite amusing.

In reality it's more like working in job that can only take you so far. You're then head hunted by the best company in the country.

It should not be about winning trophies though that's a poor excuse. It should all be about playing for the club you love! it would be far more special winning trophies at a club you love rather then jumping ship somewhere else.
I'm also pretty sure Van Persie said something similar a few years ago about how it would be more special achieving things at Arsenal but then he ended up completely contradicting himself.
