Matchtalk or Sportscene Talk-in?

Just looking to compare and contrast the two local Monday night phone in programmes.

Sportscene Talk-in
First one tonight is calling NLN inept and a poor manager and Derby only keep him because of his Dad! The number of times sheep callers on the phone in say ….look what’s happening down the road. Roger Davies sounds like a clueless buffoon and the host of the programme, Ian Skye I don’t believe is a sheep correspondent? So knows bug ger all really and may as well have Amanda Bowman doing it. They normally ask for calls from Burton fans but never get them and tonight never even mentioned them until half way through, but still no calls even tough they are in the play offs. What about Chesterfield aren’t they in Sheepshire land? Clearly not as they never get a mention. This programme is nothing short of being drab and Roger Davies droning on makes it even worse having said that you can’t help but pi55 yourself laughing all the way through .On that note its painful comedy as they just talk boll ocks. Was funny the other week when Roger Davies didn’t turn up ……and they didn’t know why (he must have forgot it was a Monday) and there was no phone-in programme

Matchtalk.
Messer’s, Jackson, Fray and Slater provide great insight into the happenings of each team performance and the clubs and an excellent perspective of the Stags, Notts and Forest. They are exceptionally knowledgeable and work as a team between them the programme is always vibrant and upbeat (even if teams lose). Interestingly Forest callers never mention that lot down the A 5-2, seems to me the obsession is only one way and that is the sheep about the reds.
David Jackson a Stags expert and former commentator also part time commentator of Forest too. Colin Slater is Mr Notts County and knows every inch of what is happening inside Notts and what makes the players tick. Colin Fray, well respected and great commentator, superb knowledge of the game and the happenings at Forest. Then there is always John McGovern or Chippers to step in when needed. The blend of calls and discussion are well balanced across the hour of the programme for all sides. Great programme

Overall Matchtalk is a good professionally run and respected phone-in. The sheep phone in is just a joke.

Agree with this. We're incredibly lucky to have the top class radio coverage we do, because when you travel around England and hear snippets of others, they're not very good.

Pity Billy won't talk to them though.

Sporty what was that all about with Billy and Radio Nottm? Instead the players do the post match
