EPL not a strong league?

Some people (I meant so-called fans of EPL) were making some ridiculous notions on BBC Live text last night that EPL is not as strong as La Liga and Bundesliga because of Bayern & Dortmund recent success to reach the final of Champions League.

in the last 8 years...
Arsenal has been in CL finals once
Liverpool has been in CL finals twice (won once)
Manchester United has been in CL finals three times (won once)
Chelsea has been in CL finals twice (won once)

So apart from Barcelona, has there been any other team from the so-called La Liga in CL finals in the last 8 years?

We should all appreciate the competitiveness of our EPL because all of our recognised top four teams have been in CL finals in the last 8 years!

EPL is the best and most competitively entertaining league. If anyone disagrees with that, let them bring their evidences!

Ronaldinho - My favourite player ever? Probably. At the time I preffered Thierry but I think now he takes it. Such a showman yet so effective.

If he had stayed at his peak for 6-7 years he would be called the greatest ever IMO.

Barca's Ronaldinho are probably the most entertaining side I've seen. Magical football. Not as good as the current Barca but more entertaining.

Fair play, Arab7. In the past I did, not anymore. I don't even really enjoy watching Arsenal anymore - unless Cazorla is on his game - whereas before their football was brilliant.

Even though it's quite funny seeing how crap they've become I do miss watching their great football as it's something the premier league is lacking at the moment.

Liverpool and Chelsea have probably become the great entertainers of our league recently. Never though I'd say that 8 years ago.

Real are probably the biggest team in Asia.

What is your favourite Manchester strip Forza? I liked the light blue one last season but the red one of this season has grown on me this season.

Not playing in red won't stop them completely but it is a pretty big thing.

There is a very good reason Cardiff's owner risked the wrath of the fans to change their kit to red from blue. It does make a big difference.

Doubt it matters that much. Real and Barca are still massive in Malaysia. Ronaldo, Messi and Beckham and Dinho before them are far more marketable than the colour red.

Well the Malaysian owner of Cardiff seemed to think it was worth risking the wrath of the fans to change their kit from red to blue.....

Obviously Cardiff playing in red isn't going to make them bigger than Barcelona or Real in in Asia and obviously the right players and trophies are going to impact on your fanbase a lot more....

That being said assuming everything else is in place having a main kit that is red I think could make a difference of between 5-10% in fanbase which isn't insignificant when you start getting into the millions of fans.

On another note I just spent the last 20 minutes fixing a keyboard that cost £2.49 from Asda (with a mouse!) can you say false economy...
