I've been Edu's biggest critic recently, debateable i know, but he was actually half decent tonight. I don't think the attacker got outside him when he move to RB.
Bougherra never really went forward tonight and his red card from what I can remember wasn't deserved.
Whittaker obviously has been terrible defensively for years but for some reason never bothered me too much cos I knew he was on £10 -12k a week but £20k+ is a joke. It's not just the goals and red card this season. Pretty much every chance is down the right hand side cos of him. Where's Rocky Fister when you need him?

Oooo, ooo...Can I play. Your manager would say:

1. What do you see in Maurice Edu that justifies him starting every match?

As a First team player for the past few seasons Edu has performed sporadically but well on occasions. As the chairman is not buying me the players I want, he's all I've got for that position. I could play the youth but the are untested in huge pressure games.

2. Who has convinced Bougherra that he is an attacking full back, continually leaving the defence short as he ambles back?

On occasions he's managed to amble forward and pose more of an attacking threat than our actual attack. He did so to great effect in Germany earning us a point in the CL.

3. What makes you think defence is Whittakers strongest position?

Because he's plied his trade in the SPL quite well in the SPL in that position. We need somebody to get forward on the overlap and can cross a ball. As there is nobody better in the team who can do both of these things, I have to use him.


All this of course can be sorted with one glorious thing.......

Only seen the first 30 mins but thought Edu played quite well, put in a brilliant cross for Jelavic's goal. Mccoist should not be blamed for last night, a couple of players let him down badly, if whittaker hadn't of been stupidly sent off rangers would of strolled through.
