Well, it was a valiant effort from Sir Douglas of Freedman and his merry men. But ultimately, we were missing abit more quality when we needed it.
What transactions would you like to see over the next few months?
Outs:
Mark Davies
CYL
Andrews
Kevin Davies
Greg Wylde
Sam Ricketts
We all know that we are saying goodbye to Kevin Davies, 2 years late in my opinion, but that discussion has been and gone.
CYL has proven a disappointment to me this season, he has lost his edge, and although he had a lovely touch and can be very elegant, there is not enough substance to his performances anymore.
Mark Davies also, incredibly talented footballer, BUT there is not enough substance to his game. Both of these players are very much saleable, replaceable assets. If we could get £12m for the pair, we could finance Spearing, as well as giving us a kitty to sign a left winger, a right back, a centre back...and a left back if Alonso moves on as expected.
Ricketts is decent Going forward, but defensively..poor. Loses his man far too easily and consistently out of position.
Andrews, KD, Wylde- surplus to requirements.
Who would you look to move on? What areas would you like to see an improvement?
Next Season

Evening Benny
What was with the selection of Hall about anyway? Were there any injuries etc;sounded dramatic I was watching the games and scores coming in a little Tunisian town bar.Was going crazy;anybody miss our goals going in?_

Ok picking Hall had me scratching my head however, the difference is DF clearly plans for games unlike Coyle seemed not to. He sometimes gets it wrong but they all do. The positives were his ability admit and react to it. This changed the game. That's all you can ask from a manager once it has kicked off.

No injuries.hall came in played on the right wing with eagles up front with cravies.it looked like the kid froze and could not handle the occasion and it caused the rest of the team to look disjointed.freedman swopped eagles to the wing and put hall up front but he had to come off and when sordell came on the balance of the team was right and we got back into the game with 2 goals in a crazy minute.2nd half could not break Blackpool down, had chance cleared off line and Lee should have scored but Bolton ran out of ideas.I think they got tired as they had expended a lot of nervous energy in the 1st half.to me Kevin Davies should have played or been on the bench as his big game experience would have helped big time. No I did not miss a goal but my nephew was in the beer token que when Bolton scored their 2 goals.

Ok, my two pence worth (now I'm sober)
Plus points:
- We have a great up and coming manager who has a real desire to win. He can organise a team and finally a manager (that we had hoped OC was) that brings through young players from our Academy. The next couple of seasons we are going to see the fruits of all that investment into the kids with, so I'm told, some really exciting prospects!
His one downside which he learned the hard way was over-complicating the final match. What should've been a straight forward 4-4-2 aiming to blow Blackpool away in the first 15 mins was shelved to go 4-5-1 and play a debutant Hall on the wing! I think he very much over-complicated things here and as a result put so much pressure on a brand new back-4, but this was just 1 game of a 46 game season, so we move on and we hope he learns from it and is prepared next season.
Squad Movements:
Outs:
- Knight
- Ricketts
- Alonso
- SKD
- Mears
Under Review:
- Sordell (I'd give him to Xmas and if he's not started scoring on a regular basis I would get rid).
- Ream
Ins:
- Rhys Williams (Boro)
- Spearing (Liverpool)
- Charlie Austin (Burnley)
- New left back if none of the kids can step up - (open to suggestions)
- New right back if none of the kids can step up- (open to suggestions)

absolute quality comedy suggesting Mark Davies should be sold on ability. Injuries yes, but ability, thats the funniest thing i have heard.
Outs:
Andrews - surplus to requirements, and a bit naff
Wylde - Not been able to get in team
Ins - with those outs, i wouldnt suggest we need much in. Much rather keep wot we have got for now, which should be enough to get us up, and then get rid of people like ricketts and knight, for better players ready for the prem.
COYWM!

Not questioning CYL or Mavies ability...at all. Both have it in abundance..Merely questioning their effect on the team? Especially when we perform much better with Mavies. I think it's a debate worth having!

I'm throwing their names out there purely because they are probably one of a few players we would be able to get money for..
Question I'm asking is do you think we could sell them and bring in better players?

Logic would dictate that to sign a player of equal quality to the one you already have, you would have to pay the same money? Not always the case i know, but in either situation, you are suggesting we sell Mavies n CYL becuase they are good. Thats a recipe for disaster
