Have we had a better result?

Depending on your age will define your your view. Winning promotion in the 70's at Filbert street. The win against oxford to stay up.
The emotional roller coaster of this season is not over although we have not shown the form to make or win the playoffs all bets are off now.

The game itself encompasses our season poor defending and great saves, Poor finishing from the strikers goals from others and the genius of the Frenchman and the kiwi.

The Fans have consistent while the players haven't but again who cares!
The moment Wood decides to square it to Knockart is a defining moment of our season.

It.s a shame that NP did not speak to Stringy it would of been nice for him to receive the plaudits after the recent times. But again it would of been uncharacteristic or right for him to deviate from his level heading responce to the fickle finger of fate. As others have said we haven't done anything yet except give us hope that has been dashed over the last few months.

I'm still in the desert for the two playoffs but i am back the day before the finals dare i dream of Wembley?

TB
'arguably the worst manager in LCFC history'

The words Peter taylor and Frank McLintock come to mind...

Did they take us down to the 3rd tier though, I guess they couldn't because Olly was the FIRST ever to do so.

Again true think about it two managrs in that season, its like saying if we had got promoted last year it was all down to Pearson because he got promoted with Svens team!

Nev - would you like to show me Holloway's win record vs Pearson's.

I don't know, I'm pretty sure Pearson's would be superior.

No, I couldn't wait so I checked. Pearson's record as a manager is statistically much better than Holloway's.

So Nev and TIM, what are you guys basing Holloway's superior managerial record on?

1 promotion to the premier league? I might give you that if it wasn't countered by a relegation to the 3rd division.

Interested to understand what you're basing your statements on.

I'm no Holloway fan, He may have took us down to L1, but he did inherit a poor squad, in a club that had been on a downward spiral for some years...

That downward spiral started with that idiot Taylor, who spent millions on wrecking the team MON had built... so surely, he gets the gong for worst manager..

As for the best result? It was a good one, but not as good as The Derby play-off final - that day was pure magic

Mersey choosing your facts promotion to the premiership and demotion to L! are both things NP hasn't achieved so Holloways better FACT.
I'm stunned to think you think getting promotion to the Prem is less than Nigel has achieved on what planet is that mate!

Nev, I'm saying that Pearson's win record is far superior to Holloway's.

So I now understand your point - you are saying Holloway is a better manager because he's had a promotion to the prem. that's fine. It was the suggestion that Holloway has some sort of superior win rate that I responded to.

Roy Keane, Paul Jewell, Phil Brown, Owen Coyle, Aidy Boothrooyd. All had a promotions to the prem. are they all better managers?

Where are they now?

ToTF a prudnet choise of names to back up your spurious claim. what about the other 25 managers who got promotion to the premiership.
Who's to say NPwon't get us promoted and then shopped for an experienced prem manager.
Who's to say that this is the start of another MoN era.

But at the moment NP's record is not as good where it matters compared to any of those you mention for one fact and one fact only. The fact that matters promotion to the premier league.

I don't give a shhheeet who manages my team as long as they play the best they can and achieve there potential. How many of us and i include myself would want Steve Bruce who sunning himself out here last year but hes done a great job!
