A lot of the usual BS on here about McClaren's quote re "the most frustrating pre-season ever". If you listen to the context in which it was said it was clear that he meant that the frustration is around not being able to get deals done with our targets (either because players were asking for too much or wanted Premier League football), rather than a dig at the amount of effort that everyone is putting in to it. Two very different things.
Given that we are the third favourites at the bookies, we have the biggest set of moaning fans in England. Get a life and get behind the boys. COYR.

We wouldn't have a club without ND. He's the best thing that every happened to our club. Anyone who says everything he does isn't wonderful and doesn't try hard to put a positive spin on things is a true fan.

Sutton, any useful solutions rather than constant sarcasm would help you sound like you're not just expecting the bloke to fork over huge handfuls of cash regardless of who the manager is and how he operates. You realise that every year there are 23 other teams trying to win games too right and it's not a case of spending the most money = winning the league?

Sutton you seem to have a real problem with anyone who dislikes ND, I agree he saved our club and he has slowly and surely made us better but cant he see that we are so close to being a premiership side? How can you defend that now? a true fan would want us to go up and for maybe that extra 4 million pounds or so we have the edge we need. He would make it back up, in shirt sales, attendances (especially if we are winning the league) fairweather fans appear. We go up, we spend a bit but we make alot. We dont change our structure of salaries (Norwich and Swansea havent) if they go back down they have parachute payments. so for digging a bit deeper he makes money (and could even make us a more sellable proposition? and then again make his money back?)
I like ND, I thank him for his time here (at times) but how on earth can he not see what everyone else can.

Im with you pal
Steve McClaren needs to realise that he can't expect to be happy with the way we do things for more than a couple of weeks. That's not the way our savoiur does things. It was crazy of McClaren to expect to actually see any of the money he must have been promised when he took the job.
Some people thought that after we'd managed to convince a former England manager, a dutch title winner a man who's last job was manager of the then German champions to drop to this level. It might be a good idea to keep him happy. To give him what he says he needs too make that "statement of intent in the transfer Market" he was sure he'd get the backing for.
I think that's madness give him some free transfers and tell him to shut it. Managers work better when theyre unhappy anyway.
