Passing a pub yesterday,Fawaz stopped the car and went over to a group of fans and apologised for the result.

Fawaz tried to buy control of QPR if you remember. They would not give him full control though.
This was the turning point at the end of May 2012.
All the rest you say is history and our future

Lifelong QPR fan, apparently. Hoops running all the way through him. Got a poster of Stan Bowles in his boudoir and everything.

Their loss though Vidal. Our gain..
I don't care if he has only supported us for a year, he is welcome. We are far better off than we were this time last year

Last eight games you have shown relegation form Webbo, less than a point a game on average. If this form continues into next season (Billy's teams are notoriously slow starters) how many games before your trigger-happy QPR fan starts getting a bit impatient?

Chill Vidal.. al teams have blips.... Ask your Nigel about his 7 or 8 points he should of had in the last 7 games of the season.
I think you will find there Billy (note: not mine) will be here for a while and I'm very optimistic about next season once we have cleared the deadwood out of teh team and brought in a few additions.
At least you are not arguing that he didn't make an offer for QPR. But remember, he turned them down, not the other way round. He found that the famous club and rescued them. I'm glad he wasn't mad enough to enquire about Derby or that lot up the M1 in Leeds.

I think he wanted an English club and looked around at what was available. Obviously his first choice was QPR, presumably because it's in his blood, but apparently he pulled out after agreeing terms when the nature of the deal changed, maybe to do with the degree of overall control. I gather this was the issue with Leeds aswell, he wanted absolute control. Doughty's family were more than happy to give him what he wanted as they just wanted rid of the club.
I think the idea that he wanted Forest in particular is a bit naive, you just fitted the bill and were available at the time, but sometimes things that happen by chance work out pretty nicely. But as you say, there is deadwood to be cleared and a fair bit of rebuilding to be done at Forest with the loanees leaving, so it would be unreasonable to expect to start next season at full steam. I just hope he's learned the value of patience.

====================
I've not read or heard him say he is a QPR fan. I've heard him say he is a fan of English football.
Him and their Billy are well matched. They do seem to get on.
As for the loan players, Hutchinson may be joining permanently if rumors are to be believed. I wouldn't be surprised if we sign maybe one or two of the others. I'd expect Sharp to leave though. He is a good striker but has not impressed IMO. That said, Davies will want to bring in some players too to freshen things up. We are not far off a good team for this league. Much better players than the last time Davies was here.

The "in his blood" bit was tongue in cheek, Webbo, on account of the guff spouted about him being a Forest "fan".
I agree with the last part but I also think this is in some ways new territory for Davies, Forest being one of the favourites for promotion. He won't like it, he likes to claim adversity and achieving AGAINST the odds, not with the odds in his favour. How he deals with expectation, both of the fans and the owner, will determine how next season pans out.

I think that's jumping the gun a bit, vidal. A big chunk of the squad are potentially off, we haven't signed anyone new yet....and we don't even know what kind of budget the managers got to play with. There's a lot of work to do before we will be even able to compete well next season, nevermind be favourites for promotion!!
