Okay this is how I think it will go.I think city will win the league.if they can get rid of Tevez and put faith in barlotteli,Aguero, silva,Toure and nasri they can win the league. They have the right balance in my opinion Strength, can defend, quality players who can score goals out of nothing(Nasri,Aguero) and quality midfielders (Silva and Yaya)
so even if teams decide to park the bus I can see them consistently pick the 3 points.
United have improved the squad but they still dont have enough creative players to solve their away record. They defend superbly and have quality wingers but will draw blanks away from home as they will be overun in midfield by most teams.
Arsenal and spurs same old, chelsea are in transition and Liverpoool will improve a bit.
1)Man City
2) United
3) Chelsea
4) Arsenal
5) Tottenham
6) Liverpool
My top 6 for next season

The issue about City being defensive made me think they could drop out of the top 4 but the reason why I have put them as favourites is because of what the other teams have done in the close season.
People forget to win the title all you need is 3 world class players in Defence,Mid and striker the rest can be a supporting cast.
Arsenal,United,Spurs have simply not adressed the issues they had last season.
United will struggle away from home as they have a gapping hole in midfield. They will be a touch better but they will struggle for air as the general quality of opposition teams has improved. Its not the good old days when Uncle Sam was running Bolton and they had a guranteed 3 points.
Chelsea it doesnt matter who they bring will struggle for fluency, something died in them last season and carlo deserved the sack(Can you see Arsenal or even Spurs for that matter lose twice to united in 2 weeks or against liverpool at home???
Drogba and Lampard carried a few of their attack for the last 5 seasons and they are paying the price now.
Tottenham to be honest if they bought 3 players and 2 world class (say according to rumours had bought Mata,Gervinho and Samba) I can honestly put up my hand and say they would push Arsenal off the 4th spot.they are a very fluent side and won a lot of points away from home even against difficult sides like Arsenal & Liverpool and have started to find the formula to beat Chelsea.
they are in my opinion the most improved side but harry cant seem to land his targets so it will be same old.
That just leaves me with City and they actually have a core that looks comiitted to do well and strangely its not even their english contigent but its players like yaya,Siva,Kompany,De Jong.
It doesnt matter if they are not fluent aguero can score a goal from nothing, so can Nasri or Tevez.

Everything you have said is true but what would your top 4 would be."

I am someone who is globally admired and worshipped. Everything I say is true.
This would be my guess:
1. Chelsea
2. Man Utd
3. Arsenal
4. City
5. Spurs (very close behind City)
6. Everton

The big problem I see at City is the fact that they basically have two units in their team. The defensive unit (Goalkeeper, back four, De Jong and Yaya) and the attacking unit (Their 8 billion attacking players.) But they don't really have anyone who links the two. Last season Tevez made up for that because his work rate is immense but it's yet to be seen how much he'll play for them this year.
They've bought big again this summer but they haven't brought in a true playmaker which is what I think they need.

Like someone above said, man for man I think City have the best set players, but they're not being used properly imo.
I mean individually they have the best CB in the league (Kompany), the best box to box midfielder in the league (Yaya), one of the most talented attacking players in the league (Silva) and one of the best strikers on the planet (Tevez).

Arsenal had a very good chance of getting Shay Given who is one of the best goalkeeper's in the Premier League. Why did he go to Aston Villa not Arsenal. If we had Given we would strenghten our defence by a long shot but in another way Szeceny is a good goalkeeper and we should give him a chance. But Given would have been a good back up keeper. Anyone agree with me?
And what was the news between Benzema and Arsenal. If we had Benzema upfront with Van Persie that would be a very big improvement. Anyone agree?
lastly whats the latest news about Bentner leaving Arsenal?

Shay Given is good but I'm not sure he'd be that much of an improvment on Szczesny who I personally think will prove himself to be better than Joe Hart this year. Why would Given swap being Man City's number two to be ours? At Villa he'll get to actually play.
Benzema was just pie in the sky stuff, Real Madrid don't want to sell and he doesn't want to go.

Spot on !
Given has experience and great distribution, but there's a bit of a myth surrounding the chap. Personally, I don't rate him as "top notch" and never have done.
Chesney simply has to be numero uno between the sticks, if Fabianski is reinstalled as the number 1 I'd suggest Wenger be sectioned!
Chesney is already a very capable, confident, domineering presence, something Arsenal have lacked for some time. And of course, logic says he will only improve.
To sign a "new keeper" at a similar and certainly higher level than Ches you are talking outrageous figures and to be frank, there's a real lack of top goalkeepers in the game at this point in time!

If the teams stay as they are currently:
1) Manchester United
2) Manchester City
3) Chelsea
4) Arsenal
5) Tottenham
6) Liverpool
Only Chelsea and City switching places.
The thing is, I am almost certain that the top four will consist of the aforementioned teams, but the order is difficult to decide. It all depends on how well the teams start the season and whether any of them have any collapses in between which would be to their detriment and go on a bad run of form.
Manchester United I put top of the league because they have a winner's mentality which has been diffused through out the entire set of players and because they have one of the best manager's in world football who has accomplished everything. He can get the best out of his players regularly and many managers have trouble in achieving that.
The signing of De Gea has enriched that goalkeeping position. Their defence is fine too. They've got adequate back-up for each position of the back four. United have the second best defence in the league IMO just behind Chelsea. The midfield players may not be filled with creativity and fanciful tricks, but they understand each other well and are always well-organized. A creative player would definitely supplement them. The striking force is just incredible. If you look at how prolific and how fruitful the strikers are and how they link up well with each other and how they always focus on working together to get goals, they've all developed good partnerships with each other. They get results when it matters the most and the way they communicate as a team is just sublime. It really is.
City I've put second, reluctantly, but it's a close call. Personally, I think Chelsea, City or Arsenal could get second but it will all depend on how consistent they are. City had a very good end to the season and they overtook us in the process. Even though many people think the possibility of Tevez going will take its toll on City, I do think that it would encourage the other players to work more and to stop being over-reliant on one player for the goals. If anything, it could be a blessing in disguise. Their tactics are too negative, especially given the money they've spent, but it's still effective. I don't particularly enjoy City's all-defence approach to a game, but if it gets them the results they want, then who are we to judge? And with all the money they are being supplied with, they will be a domestic force that will be difficult to contain.
Football is corrupt these days and the main way for clubs to get their silverware is not by operating via constitutional means , but by provisional companies/sugar daddies bankrolling clubs so that they have unlimited amounts of money to spend on 'success'. It's why City and Chelsea will, in years soon to come, be dominating the Premier League.
Anyways, moving on. Chelsea have taken a risk by taking Villas Boas under the wing because he only managed Porto for one season and we don't know if that was just a one-season wonder or not. A proud achievement, but it was still a huge risk. He's not really done much transfer wise, but he may be helping out with the cohesion of the team. Chelsea are ageing and their players aren't as fluent as they used to be, but they can change that any time they want to, courtesy of RA . I guess patience will be a virtue...
I can see them doing reasonably well, but I can't picture Chelsea winning the league because they haven't added enough younger talents to the squad, that would get into the first team.
Arsenal need new defenders and a decent back up goalkeeper. Fabianski is a great shot stopper but set-pieces and high balls are still his Achilles' heel. We should have perhaps tried to get Steklenberg as he went on the cheap, but I guess he'd want first team action and with the form Szcszney was in, it'd be difficult for him to stake a claim. We need a natural leader in the team, too and we need a DM, a left back that can defend and a CB. Although, I'd appreciate it more if Wenger focused on the defensive stability because it's easy for teams to exploit the gaps in our defence. Until they learn how to endure pressure and long balls, we will be stuck in the same predicament. Wenger has got plenty of money to spend in the transfer market, he's just too stubborn to spend it and his transfer policy needs to change. If we bought in Adams and Keown and Parlor as coaches, it'd be a huge boost. Wenger doesn't value experience enough and honestly, it's time he changed his meticulous methodology. By him doing what I said above, I guarantee we would be sustaining title challenges and progressing in knock-out cup competitions, frequently.
