Is Paul Lambert set to bid for Sako?

Aston Villa are rumoured to be lining up a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers star Bakary Sako.

I think it’s pretty much inevitable that we’ll lose him in the summer the question is how much will we get?

I can’t see us making a huge profit, maybe a £1m but could Jez pull one out of the hat and double our money on him?

Villans did you see him play at all last season? What do you think of the link to him?

It looked very good indeed to me Tino

I watched Wolves play a few times this season and every time Sako stood out for me. He is a player and a half, for a big man, he moves pretty quick and has a good set of skills on him. He constantly works for the team which is a good thing.

If Lambert buys him no more than 1 and half mil. Otherwise, don't buy him.

We paid 3M for him & he's improved since then...
so 1 1/2 M for him plus Roger Johnson sounds like good business

Roger Johnson. Seriously, is this guy a secret agent for Villa or something? Relegated with Blues, now Wolves, twice. Still, he's a prat and you should sell him to a conference side.

Bakary Sako won't want to go to another club regularly threatened with relegation.
He would want to go to The Pride of the Midlands' although he'd have his work cut out getting anywhere near our bench even.

He isn't good enough for the Premier League. However, we might get a couple of million for him from a top half of the table Championship club?

Knock yourself out Jez.

Hi Adot, I knew there must be one of you out there somewhere! Where do you all hide? On Heroes & Villans?

Not a chance of getting Sako for that sort of money I’m afraid, good luck staying up – I hope you don’t need too much from the Wigan game ‘cause you know how that’ll end if you do

Bad news about Stan retiring and I hope he stays on the staff. The support you guys are giving him must be a massive boost to him.

If I had a choice of taking Sako, in truth I wouldn't... I'd advise him to go to a club that is just promoted to the PL or could see a Fulham take him off your hands. I don't think we can tell how good he is for the PL, until he has played in the PL.

And, I know it's bad news for Stan retiring, am pretty gutted, but I think it goes to show life and family come first than football. I hope he recovers well and can come and work for Villa in a coaching role soon.

Re: Stan. It certainly does.

Can’t disagree with you about Sako, a team newly promoted to the prem or one with a chance of promotion this season would probably be the best fit.

I’d wish you good luck with the relegation fight but by your user name it seems you’ve thrown the towel in already and are aiming for the play-offs next season. I still think you have a chance of staying up though

If I'm honest I actually miss the likes of Wolves and Birmingham in the PL. Miss a good old derby. WBA are boring the fack out of me.

Still, get rid of your owner. He's no good. A wrong'un, if anything.
