Really hope we ship him off abroad somewhere for a nice fee (sooner the better as I'm getting bored of all of this being the 2nd time!)

'Plus i dont think the ginger scouser is cultured enough to live life abroad.'

Do you need to be 'cultured' to live abroad as a footballer? Do the foreign Premiership players in London go the the National Theatre every Friday night? Did Michael Owen and Jonathon Woodgate wander around the Prado at weekends?
If Rooney lived abroad, an insignificant fraction of his wages would provide him with all the translators / chauffeurs / cooks / personal shoppers he'd need to live his life as if he were in Cheshire.
I bet it would also buy him a better class of hooker too.

I'm not desperate for Rooney to leave. But not only would I not be gutted if he left, I wouldn't be as fussed about him going to a domestic rival as I would about other players. E.g. if him going to Chelsea meant they didn't buy Falcao I wouldn't see it as a setback at all.

Not too bothered about him leaving as his performances have been poor of late but I can't help but feel that we will only know what we had once he has gone.

i am just messing about guys but come on can you really see him abroad his english is hard enough to understand can you imagine his french/spanish/italian.
lol
honestly though i think he is worth £25-£28 million about the same as you paid for him. I wouldnt mind him at Chelsea its alot cheaper than getting Falcao and I am just too worried about our club spending that kind of money after Torres.

Has Rooney done anything wrong by asking to leave? The guys has scored and assisted hundreds of goals and has been the man main for so many years. Despite all this he has 'done a job for the team by playing out of position'. When he's played as astriker, he's scored 30+ goals. How would RVP do if had had play on the wing to track back or pay in CM? Would you be angry at Chico if he wanted to leave? Rooney has given is all to the club in previous years but this season he seems to have lost his passion one on reason or another. As long as he doesn't go to a league rival, fans should have no complaint

But as a player you know where you stand when you are dropped for a CL knockout game at home for a striker who has scored 2 goals all season not to mention I think he scored twice in the PL game before the Real Madrid tie.
Can you really blame him for feeling a little disenfranchised not to mention you guys had the league in your pocket since Feb.

rooney needs a new start under a manager that trust him at utd or elsewhere. rooney is said to not be prolific but boast a goal ratio of 1 in 2 games in his utd career.
I feel indifferent if he leaves as i feel his relationship with utd has gotten stale. But if he does move I hope it is overseas and we get good money for him.
