I know this is a bit sad...but

Just chucking out some old newspapers and came across one from 18th March..which had the league tables in when there were 8 games to play...

State of play was...

premier league top 3.... Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea
..........................bottom 3..QPR, Reading, Wigan

Championship..top3....Cardiff, Hull, Watford
..........................bottom 3..Bristol, Wolves, Peterborough

League One...top3...Doncaster, Brentford, Sheffield Utd
...................bottom 4..Bury, Portsmouth, Hartlepool, Oldham

League Two...top 3...Gillingham, Port Vale, Burton
......................bottom 2...Accrington, Aldershot.

Of the 24 clubs above, only 4 ended up either missing out or safe by the end of the season.....(Sheff Utd, Oldham, Burton and Accrington) while Brentford have a play off final to sort out..

So while we were all fretting about ourselves, and speculating on the possibilites in other leagues...nothing much really changed from game 38 to game 46...wish I'd known this at the time .........

Thanks for that Waltz..I've just realized it's on !
(not too with it tonight ?)
Jacko..just read about the 5!!!! defensive changes to be made by Wigan
can't help thinking he's saving them no matter what he says,
That said, I'd like to see them win it, apart from going for the underdog in a final, We could at least say...
"It took the winners to knock us out".

A380's now Waltz

Town v Western Sydney Wanderers is what you would want to see .....
or Melbourne Victory.
might make 'Oil' realize how far behind the times our club is with supporter relations & 'the match day experience'....
check out the RBB (Red & Black Block on you tube)
You'll see where I'm coming from

i always found the away days at gig lane full of passion
they let us get packed in behind that goal and generate a great atmosphere...especially the 4-4 draw when we were 4-0 down and came back to equalise right at t end

Tea eaten (shepherds pie) beers now on the go for the cup final

Question, is it a west Yorkshire word to say pogged?
Meaning full after food, or is it a daft family word?

I know it's feck all to do with jacko's original post, but can someone humour me please?

Ta.

I know what you mean hydy, bit like the delicious mammi kiss daddi!

Two things Hydy -

1) Yes it is a (very) daft family word, and
2) 2 words always smack me in the face when I hear them, one (since I now live in the Peoples Republic of Jockistan) is OUTWITH - just stupid !
And the other word which I love (and comes from reading too many American thrillers), is COPACETIC. Don't you just lurve that word.
