Now before you get excited, i'm talking about Newcastle, not us. We can only dream of a stadium an support like theirs, so ow come their in the chit ? I think a lot of as to do with Pardew, a cockney was never going to fit in up there. Sundays game......as much as i love the R's i don't want them ammering another nail in Toons coffin.

They were the perennial under achievers of the 90's. In fairness they have cut their spending dramatically since then so whilst they should probably be doing a lot better they haven't (relegation aside) done too terribly considering their spend...
Think this season was disturbed greatly by the Europa League campaign, they just didn't have the squad for it.
I hope they stay up.

This is a kind thread for us toonys But, as we proved a few years ago, we aren't too big to go down.
We do have a class stadium and hordes of fans that would support the club even in the Championship (Which in my opinion is a much more honest league) But we don't have the team to match. Or a board with any ambition other than financial security.
The Europa league is a curse. The eight year contract is a myth, Ashley loves to insert get out clauses.
Hope you and Arry storm the Championship next season and see you again the season after
Good luck lads.
