My PS3 YLOD'd

i was playing battlefield bc 2 and my fat 80gigger bit it.
I decided to do the Sony refurb swap that they offer here in usa for ~137$$, but I was tempted to try to do the oven or heat gun trick instead.. have any of u tried that and did it work for u

yeah - i heat gunned an xbox and it lasted for like 2 days before dying.. not wanting to bother with all that again so i gambled on a refurb.. it's got a 90 day warranty so I'm going to run it hard for about 30 days or so in order to bring it to failure just in case.. it's 45nm die size most likely solved that design flaw in the fats
