Why?

If we get Rooney he will have to take a pay cut £150 000 max

if we get Rooney i will hit something, it'd be Torres all over again, paying the GDP of a small country for an over-rated with questionable attitude and fitness

Because if Falcao goes to Monaco then clearly money is much more important to him than winning things.

Of course money is always a factor but does Falcao honestly think he has a chance of winning the CL anytime soon with Monaco ??

Surely a player of Falcao´s ability should be looking to win the CL at least once in his career and at the age of 27 time isn´t really on his side.

That may be true but it doesn't detract from him being a marvellous player, he'd be just as valuable an asset to us as he would to Monaco.

It's quite possible Monaco are infact the only team willing to activate his release clause
