First off what a cracking playoff match Watford vs Leicester turned out to be. If you 've not had a chance to see it - this was in the 95th , Leicester score they win and go through to Wembley.
The first one is courtesy of a Leicester fan who posted this on Youtube:

So this leads me to the reason for my post. Leicester I believe would need to review their squad for the new season - they've had two attempts to be promoted but chocked on both occassions. Aww.
Looking at the squad they have several strikers and Waghorn is due to become a free agent. He's not played much this season, partly due to injury I believe but also possibly down to lack of form?
My first question is would you consider him as a striking option or is he similar to Sammon and Martin in terms of being a big unit. If i'm not mistaken he's played as a winger too so must offer something different?
Vaughan of Norwich City has been linked to Derby and Clough has confirmed he is a target (see Derby Telegraph) but given his injury record and temperment I believe he'd be one of the first to clash with Clough. I would much prefer if we would go for Simeon Jackson who is proven at this level, in the last year of his contract and if he is a determined player ( one keen to play than sit on his butt and just earn the paycheck) would be a good signing. Given he's linked up with Martin at Norwich it would provide an easier link up between Sammon & Martin / Martin and Jackson and ease into a Sammon and Jackson partnership.
Additionally I think we require an experienced head in central midfield - especially for away matches to calm things down. Would Barry Ferguson be on your list? Sure he's getting on a bit but for one season to provide experience to Hendrick would he not be worth a gamble? He wouldn't demand wages from when he was in his peak and I think Bryson and Ferguson in midfield / Hughes and Hendrick would be a good blend between experience and youth for the central berths. My other option for central midfield would be Simon Davies of Fulham who is out of contract at the end of the season.
