Utd fans were being interviewed on Sky Sports after the game and the general consensus was that they are not bothered if Rooney leaves as they will simply bring Bale in.
The arrogance of these people is unbelievable. They honestly think they can just go to any club and handpick which ever players they want.
Isn't the club about £500million in debt? I find it amazing how they keep finding these spare 25 million lying around to just throw at players.
I'm a bit tired of reading that Moyes is 'cut from the same cloth' and all that crap. Just a little food for thought United fans - Moyes is known for being good with very little money to spend!!
Arrogance of Man Utd fans

I give Moyes 3 months before he is sacked

I wonder if Howard Webb is going to hand in a transfer request as well

Seeing as no United fans will deny Rooney is on
250k a week and that he is bigger than their club
it's argument won.
.....
Depends if you believe the Sun or not.

I can't see Bale moving to Utd this summer anyway. His career is flying and it would be a big risk moving to a team potentially facing a difficult year. What happens if Moyes goes in and they struggle all season? .
Even if Bale wants to sign for Man Utd he is young enough to enjoy another season with us and wait to see if Utd are still the same team with Moyes.
Only place Bale would go is RM this summer but even that is unlikely I think.

It was never going to be anything but focused on United yesterday, it has been one of the biggest new stories in the Sporting world of the last decade, at least. The Swansea fans at the stadium were absolutely fantastic, and I really can't see them being annoyed that the focus wasn't on them. It was SAF's last ever home game, and you're complaining that people are focusing on it Bloody muppet.
With regards to the Rooney situation - Most 'normal' outlets report him (and RvP) on around £150k a week, rising to over 200k with bonuses & any image rights, etc.
The figure £250k, has been pulled out of someone's ar se at The Sun Some United fans are arrogant, you're right. However, I think that most Spurs fans would acknowledge that Bale leaving would be a step up for him if he came to United, and it would be a decent career move for him. That isn't to say that we're expecting him to come, merely that we acknowledge his skill. However, some of the prices being banded around for him are bordering on ludicrous.
On another note, rival fans should refrain from commenting on our debt until they know what they're on about. Otherwise they just look like títs

just because you are a bigger club than us, it automatically means you get to cherry pick our top players. Sorry but dosen't work like that at Spurs anymore
-------
Hmmmm, are you sure about that because that's usually how its been for Spurs. Shame because the squad is a few key signings short of challenging for all the top honours.
Real Madrid cherrypicked Modric but remember, this is the club that cherrypicked Ronaldo away from United
If you miss out on top 4 then Bales future will be shrouded - regardless of what has already been said by club/player
