Welcome to the official alternate match thread of Arsenal - Wigan Hotspur
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez believes his side's historic FA Cup win over Manchester City will not get in the way of what is arguably an equally important fixture against Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday. Martinez wants his relegation-threatened side to forget the elation of their Wembley win and concentrate on the two wins his side realistically need to prolong their eight-year stay in the Premier League.
- Wigan have lost nine of their 10 previous league and cup visits to Arsenal, but did win their last match there - a 2-1 Premier League victory in April 2012. Franco Di Santo and Jordi Gomez scored for Wigan.
- Arsenal last completed the Premier League double over Wigan in 2008-09.

Ah : "right hand" + Di Canio.
That would explain Michs' OCD hatred of Spurs.

In all honesty, if Newcastle do beat Arsenal, you can bet we will chuff our game up and lose.
However, wouldn't it be nice if news broke out Arsenal lost to Newcastle, we are drawing against Sunderland then receive our first penalty of the season on 94th min. Huddlestone steps up to score his first goal in 18months and players celebrate after the game cutting Hudds fro. Then we all sing and laugh, all world's leaders declare world peace, then Jessica Alba comes over mine and we make sweet love all night.
The latter obviously won't happy though because Arsenal are a bunch of lucky ccuunnttts

Wouldn't it be remarkable that one day Spurs actually achieved something without having to rely on everyone else or become everyone else.
