So we are aiming for 4 more, 6 overall including 2 we already sort of had.
We have told 7 they can go plus we've released Roberts and most possibly losing Brayford.
So the squad is going to be down by a couple.
With more going out than coming in, you would think that the players coming in would hopefully be of the same value therefore we will be after better quality of players? But looking at this article it worries me that they arent :/ Grant and Martin in my opinion doesn't show much intent at all! Grant is a good solid keeper and possibility slightly better than what we had however if him and Martin show we are going to be competitive and these are 2 of our top targets i think we should be worried. Martin being a top target with 2 goals in 13 games i dread who the other striker will be. Baptiste seems to be out of our price range plus again might not be a massive improvement on what we have, Vaughan the same and if he signed the jury would be out! Not one player we are after shows real intent that we are going for the top 6..
Other people may have different opinions but seriously i dont think we are ging to be much better based upon who we are after, who is leaving and this article!
Time to be worried?

Strett - I'm a keen student of internet conspiracies and so I couldn't help but notice the signs littered all over the video showing its true provenance. For example "keeper Radu Mitu" is very obviously an anagram of "I makeup, true Red". Whilst the chap in question bears more than a passing resemblance to Al-Rashidi.
The truth is out there!

its a bit early to be worried aint it?
as previously mentioned the outgoings are hardly gonna decimate the team.
early business is good business, gives them a chance to settle down before pre-season starts n'all that.
there are perhaps bigger things to worry about......

Outgoings won't decimate our team, but an already paper thin squad is going to get thinner, and if we are again releasing players to bring in, then the depth of the squad isn't getting any better, so when the injuries start clocking up, we will be back with the same problem as this season. The players mooted to be coming in are no great shakes either, they're all cheapo players (as per) from clubs that finished below us (as per).
Its not tempting me back I'm afraid.

people should note that there will be 4 or 5 players properly bolstering the squad from the academy, and apparently decent players too.
Out of the ones allowed to leave, I like Bailey, but we managed a whole season without him, and with two central midfielders to spare being played out of position.
I think it's too early to get depressed, although I will add, I HOPE we don't sign Baptiste. He's nowt special. Would rather Cathcart.

Not overly worried, the signings last season weren't remarkable but bolstered the squad, I expect more of the same this summer, the rewards of this hopefully we'll see around christmas where injuries start to pile up.
Like Mostyn says the academy should bear more fruit also, if we find another Hughes that would be nice, and expect Bennett may get more gametime. Nice to see Clough mentioning Jacobs in a positive light on the DET website today, his scattergun approach to man management pays off every once in a while.

I have nothing wrong with lets say promoting 5 academy player next season such as Bennett, Lelan, Lowe, Verham, Sharpe etc. but come out and tell us thats what the plan is rather than telling me that we are after quality experienced players because its the same old story if thats what we are going to do he uses that as a excuse for not getting into the top 6! Experience he keeps saying but tbh its not that inexperienced anymore Hendrick has played for Derby nearly 100 times and has international caps.
Im worried because the squad is getting cut and the players coming in arent that good. My experience quality players and ambition is clearly different to the boards, just think that if Martin and Grant were top targets then i dont see us being competitive.

if you're getting six experienced players that WILL play, and removing 6 that didn't play, then why are you worried?

Because he said this the last two summers. Experienced championship players he said, over and over. Look at the players e are after i'm not sure they are much better than what we have. We are losing Brayford which is a massive blow. He seems to not be concentrating on the midfield but to me thats the biggest problem its really unbalanced, we dont create much or offer enough protection. We pass the ball well but go no where.
