England squad. Awful. Discuss.

Don't know why I still even bother with England

The same old awful names and never a chance given for those in form.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Ben Foster, Joe Hart , Alex McCarthy.

Defenders: Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, Glen Johnson, Phil Jones, Joleon Lescott, Kyle Walker.

Midfielders: Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Frank Lampard, James Milner<square>, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott.

Forwards: Andy Carroll, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck

At the end of the season you would have thought Roy's had a long, hard look at players who have performed well in the league. Clearly not, he's obviously just picked up the team sheet from last time around.

What on earth do the FA pay him to do?

Unfortunate players to miss out?:
Southampton bunch - Lambert, Lallana, Rodriguez, Shaw
Dyer/Routledge, Gibbs, Forster, Osman,

Any others?

Welbeck and carroll? Embarrassing. Rodriguez and lambert both have had better seasons

Not only are we poor as a team on the international front but we're also poor individually. Even if we pick a squad of 24 of the best English players the only one who we can consider world class is Rooney. The rest are past it or are a bit meh

Carroll, Welbeck

I always get wound up when AOC gets called up. Realistically he should be playing at U21 level (so should Sterling but at least he's not called up every international break to seniors). I rate his potential but as it stands he should be nowhere near the team, these constant bys to the senior squad probably a reason why he's got complacent this season.

Yeah definitely tbk. The u21 squad is there for a reason, to develope young players not quite ready to feature forthe ssenior team regularly.
Makes no sense sending him to play 10 minutes. Especially when his season form hasn't justified a call up.

Great no Arsenal players... it's only a burden.

The reason the media love any chance to highlight our 8 yrs of trophy drought is probably because to hide the 47 years England have failed to win any trophy whatsoever, despite English players being the highest earners in World football. Over-rated & underachieving.

People think i hate cleverley and welbeck. if they didnt play for england, i wouldnt have a problem. but its the fact they are so bad, yet represent my nation.

Ramsey, stop spouting sheet. You hate them because they play for United and have humilated Arsenal, yet are considered sheet.

If they are sheet, Arsenal are in a really sorry state.
