Just watching Skysports news & the depression is really starting to set in. This mornings interviews were with;
Nigel Worthington, York City manager, ex of Northern Ireland & premiership Norwich City.
Aidy Boothroyd, Northampton Town Manager, ex of Watford in the premiership.
NO interviews today with;
Peter Taylor, Wycombe Wanders manager, ex of England,
or local lad, Phil Brown, Southend manager, who guided Hull into the premiership on a budget of just under a tenner !
Gary Megson, unemployed, ex of Premiership Bolton.
The point I'm making is, if these massively experienced higher league managers will take jobs with league 1 & 2 clubs, why are we interviewing managers, who between them have either, very little or no championship experience ? It beggars belief that Oldham sacked Dickov due to fear of relegation from league one & yet we see him as the bloke who'll get us a championship play off place.
Please please please let the bookies be wrong & let's hope John Ryan (he's lost his knighthood for the moment) & co pull another surprise out of the hat. My season ticket is on hold pending the appointment & if its Dickov it ain't getting renewed !

McCall is to be interviewed omn Monday by us, he is the number one choice, although I understand that Dickov interviewed very strongly.
