From today's Express and Star:
The Baggies will need to strengthen out wide this summer, however, with Jerome Thomas certain to leave and Peter Odemwingie and Mark-Antoine Fortune likely to follow.
But boss Steve Clarke does not expect a significant shift from their previous transfer policy, meaning some tough negotiating ahead.
“The strategy will be similar – probably one big signing for some money, then some lesser transfers, although not in terms of quality, some free transfers and some loans," said Clarke.
“It’s a market that we use well, although it might be that we need to add one or two others that are not marquee signings but will cost a bit of money."

We have to keep MAF for at least one more season.
And there's no way we'll pay Bakary Sako £25,000 a week wages.
Swansea are also in for Romelu Lukaku. Sounds about right - they're the only PL club qualified for Europe next season who would want him.
Plenty of work to do for Steve Clarke and Richard Garlick.
Summer transfer activity - SC speaks

I'm staggered that anyone expected anything different in our approach to the transfer window.
Fans on other forums are calling for big 'marquee' signings and lots of £££££'s spent. Never going to happen with JP in charge. Especially with how successful the current system has been for us the past few years.
My opinion is that JP needs to relax the purse strings a little, but I'm not gullible to think he will.
Few things ;
Lukaku was only ever coming for 1 season. Some fans are gutted that he's being linked with other clubs but he's not even our player. People who think he's coming back are only going to be disappointed.
Sako Stand out player in a pathetic team that have just been rejected to the third division (LOL). No thanks. No better than JT.
Why allow MAF to leave?. All the fans want him to stay. He wants to stay. Why can't the club see his clear talents and what he brings to the squad.
Finally..
Strikers linked this week -
Bony - Top talent. 30+ goals In 20 odd games in Holland. Looks a real talent and would be open to PL move. Very exciting.
Mbokani - Anderlecht striker with a record of that similar to Bony. Very exciting.
Franco Di Santo - 5 goals in 20+ games and looking at Wigan forums an absolute waste of time.
Mbokani and Bony would cost upwards of £6M. Di Santo is on a free. Who's more likely
Long summer indeed.

CL confirms interest in Di Santo.
When I said we should raid Wigan, Di Santo is not who I had in mind. But he is on a free so I guess that's why
I'm dreading next season. And this one hasn't even finished yet
And I'm one of the optimists on here.

Bottom 3 on current form and your top scorer going

Fritzi, what's that whistling noise?
It's the sound of the tumbleweed in the cold wind, rolling across the barren Molineux pitch.......
Albion will be ok next season, never fear!

Listen to JH aries , even idiots are right sometimes.

Fritzi, I think JH's fears are understandable but will prove to be unfounded.
As usual, Albion's first objective won't be 50 points, it won't be 49 points, it won't be to finish in the top half of the table.
It will be to stay in the Premier League, no more, no less, and there are already three clubs inferior to Albion. I'm not going to say who they are or else everyone will know them.

Only teasing aries, I don't know enough about Albion to give an educated opinion.
I do know however that it's amazing at times how fast a team can age - look comfortable one year and in real trouble the next.
Bottom 3 on current form is not good but I realise it may just be a blip.
I'm not very convinced by your coach either, conceding though that he's a lot better than our last 3.

Awww Fritzi - 'only teasing'. You little scamp!
Our last ten games have yielded seven points - unacceptable to anyone. I've said elsewhere - Facebook - that SC needs to get tough with players over individual and team performances. Big summer coming up in the transfer market.

I think Di Santo will be one of the players Albion will target from the 'free' market. A decent back up after he has spent a bit of time with our coaching staff.
Interesting to be given advice on relegation from the experts tho...cheers..
I'll get the eggs ready...again.
