JAMIE CARRAGHER - 737 AND OUT
Liverpool overcame Queens Park Rangers on Sunday afternoon in Jamie Carragher's 737th and final appearance for the club.
It ended as Carragher would have wanted, with three points and a clean sheet for the Reds. The only thing missing was a goal from the defender, and he came so close to getting it.
Liverpool were all over QPR from start to finish and should have had the opening goal early on. Philippe Coutinho headed the ball from a corner kick and it went just over the line before it was cleared, but in Liverpool's final game before the introduction of goal-line technology, the officials did not give it.
But the young Brazilian did not have to wait too long, as he opened the scoring on 23 minutes. Jordon Ibe, making his Liverpool debut, weaved in between three players before passing to Coutinho, who lashed it into the bottom left corner from 25 yards.
Liverpool had a host of other chances to put the game to bed, including an effort from the retiring Carragher from long range that smashed against the post and came back out.
Carragher was brought off in the 86th minute to a standing ovation for the 16 years of service that he has given to the club. And following the match, Carragher received a golden "23" trophy from Liverpool legend Ian Callaghan.
Liverpool finish the season in seventh place and will now look to make some serious headway in the summer transfer market, ready to push on for a greater challenge for the top four next season.

you did bottle it, that draw against wigan or chelsea was the difference between you beating arsenal or not, 2 opportunities, right on the wire, not taken.
