On motd's goals of the season

I perhaps wouldn't go that far Anfield but he does seem to have his favorite players. He is possibly the worst football pundit on tv and that is saying something.

Maybe I'm just imagining it then?
But totally agreed with you about him being the worst pundit on tv.
Also can't stand his team of the week were defenders get included if they score a goal.
Numpty of the highest degree!!!!!

I'm surprised how much people actually read Crooks' column considering what a moron he is

That really annoys me with his team of the week. A player could have the worst game of his career but if he scores he sticks him in it.
I think the funniest was when he put James Morrison in then asked why he wasn't getting a look in for the England squad even though he has 20+ caps for Scotland

Just out of curiosity, does anyone on here think that Crooks is a little bit racist.
==============================
Not particularly. Besides,' racism' in absolute state, not subject to gradation.

garth crooks is one of the worst ever football pundits. right up there with robbie earl and michael owen

It's pretty clear that Crooks only watches one or two games every week, so the rest of it he has to make up from arbitrary statistics.
What a crushing rejection it must be for Luis Suarez, to having a footballing virtuoso like Crooks leaving you out of his team.

The thing with people like Crooks is that people love to hate them.
This means people talk about them, which means more views, clicks etc.
If people just ignored him, then the BBC would get rid because he wouldn't be fulfilling his role.

They chose Defoes dribble and long range shot over Suarez goal V Newcastle. It wasn't a bad goal but still Suarez goal was better.
Best goal is between RVP volley and Everton team goal. The volly just shades it.
