Did we really swap divisions with the mighty Yeovil Town yesterday?
Brings home rather emphatically the epic scale of our collapse over the last two seasons doesn't it.
I wish I had confidence that the sole and focussed objective of Morgan and Moxey was an immediate return to the Championship and credible plan to get us back to the Premiership a la Norwich or Southampton. Unfortunately, my fear is that cost cutting will come before footballing success and the team that runs out for our first game in August will be an unrecognizable collection of lower league journeymen.
Anybody seeing any grounds for optimism that are not appearing in my almost compeletly empty glass? There's not even the opportunity for an away trip to Yeovil - I quite fancied that!
Am I dreaming this?

Not true, I have discussed a million times how foolish it was to sack him so early, turned out I was right

Is it an affliction that you ex pats catch that you talk bollox and then pretend you were right? Do you need that skill for a green card? Solbakken was absolutely useless but I am sure his style impressed everyone that didn't see his teams play

Solbakkens 'dreadful' management had us clear of relegation, thats a fact, I never said he was good, all I have said is he should not have been sacked when he was, things got even worse after he left

He had us tumbling down the table like a set of tumblers tumbling down from a rickety table.
Some of us were rather hoping he'd be getting the club into the upper levels of the division, and the possibility of promotion.

Some were bute, but others like myself figured a play off at best and would have took a mid table finish if progress was clear.
Granted progress was not clear
But the point is we were better off with him than the magical mr saunders.
Thats all im saying, and its a fact, so don't get defensive, im not suggesting he is better than mick...

I disagree that we were better off with Solbakken than Saunders and I don't believe we would have stayed up with Stale in charge. And we played better football under Saunders for sure despite what Stale tried to tell people. Solbakken's old fashioned 5 mile an hour style was desperate to watch and would not have succeeded at any level of English or German league football.
im not suggesting he is better than mick...- and I am not getting defensive but to even compare his managerial ability to McCarthy is just laughable

Won't disagree that he would have to adapt his idea of ''total football'' it just would not work in the champo.
And he is not close to mick based on what we got to see, that is also a FACT!!!!

If only we'd had a reason to say, "Hey - this guy's almost as good as Mick!" Sadly, that never happened, or looked remotely like happening.

Total football my r's. His style was as far away from total football as anything I have ever seen. Tony Pulis came closer.

Total football haha. He just wasn't a good fit at Wolves, if he had the players at Arsenal for example that can dance around without being challenged then he may have acheived mid table security.
