even a good source at our club will have experienced the chinese whisper effect before they recieve the information they leak, given the depth of our hierarchy

I assume all the statements have to go through the legal team first anyway - or at least ones of this importance. Like you said the club use ambiguous phrases that are technically correct, but it is unlikely they will tell a bare face lie as part of a club statement on such matters, if they cant tell the truth 'no comment' is usually good enough to get by

true, but i maintain the club has not said much about the next manager by official means, which is playing by the rules on this occasion - Rafa is free to say what he wants in press conferences

Yep, we cant say anything officially till Jose is fired by Real Madrid legally he is still their manager until then.
