Luck - or lack of it

If every shot that hit the post had been a goal this is what the league table would look like.

It's actually very similar to reality, guess it proves luck does more or less even out.

Not scoring due to hitting the woodwork is not unlucky, it's bad placement. The ball follows simple laws of physics and geometry, if you hit the ball at a certain angle inside the woodwork then it will bounce back into the goal, any further out and it will bounce away from goal.

I don't understand the idea that hitting the woodwork is unlucky.

That's the second season in a row Liverpool would have massive improvement with this.

But like Renoog says, the aim of the game is to get the ball in the net, rather than to hit the post.
