Reading the BBC article on attendances (see link below) Just over half the ground is full, and many away teams were given the max allocation of tickets, which some sold out. Be interesting to see some stats on home supporters.

Birmingham City
2012/2013 avg attendace - 16,702
2011/2012 avg attendace -19,126
Highest Attendance 2012/2013 - 19,630
Lowest Attendance 2012/2013 - 13,532
I'm really unsure about renewing my season ticket and I know others are to, so can only see this stat reducing next season with our tight finances and all the negative news coming out about us not being able to sign players for cash fee's.
I don't think it's the case that we price fans out of the club for games, they must reduce season ticket prices, any increase will drive more fans away.
I think the only way that some of the old fans are going to come back will be when the club has new ownership.
Fair play to Wolves, we've give em a fair bit of stick for being relegated, but they still had an average attendance of 21,662 with a highest gate of 28,595!!
Football League fans' table...

I travel 120 miles to see Blues play , and will be buying a season ticket , i think its a great deal for fans with kids ,
i dont care if only 5 hundred turn up for home games , it would be easier to get away
true fans will remember the Weldon , kumars days , and very low attendances , what will true Blue fans do on match days , stay away because we are in trouble , i dont think so ,
i can understand it if people cant afford it , and would like the Blues owners to come up with a idea to help people who are out of work. kro.

I've got a season and travel down from Sunderland and I've got 2 young kids and a night club to run! Right now is when the club needs us most it. Where at the 33,000 that went to Wembley for the day out and probably spent close to the 400 that it costs for a season ticket.
I don't think it's about cost because if we got to a FA Cup final against villa people would be on the message boards moaning about the low tickets given to blues so the sponsors can go etc.
400 one off is steep but they have a great interest free 8 month payment scheme. Which would cost near enough the same people pay for sky a month on a standard package with no movies or sports.
Never mind I will make the trip I will be there regardless of what I think of the owner/manager or kit man. Well done to any one else who bothers

Brought my season ticket yesterday. I can see where some fans are coming from but I couldn't not go, what else would I do on a Saturday.
Beesknee I first started going in 86/87 season and I just about remember the Wheldon days but remember very clearly the Kumar days, when they sold the lead of the roof and there were big holes all the way along the kop and everyone used to get wet. We were awful at the time but I loved it and that feeling has never left me.
Mackem I agree with all you said mate and fair play to you for travelling down al that way every week.
On a side note, pre season European fixture gets announce tomorrow, have it on good authority that the game will be played in Dublin on 12th of July, I will be making the trip for that too, anybody making the short trip across the water?

Ah, the Kumars, those were the days...
With a roof but getting wet in a shower watching a shower advertising a shower...
What about the kits those days! You could paint the house blue, yellow, white wearing the kit and no-one would've ever notices the splashes!

I'm not saying I'm not going to renew, I will more than likely do it, I'm already missing football and it's not even been a week!
There are some fans that arn't renewing hence the decline, I just think we need to look at getting as many people there as possible right now, as you say, the club need us more than ever now.

Like most of you on here, I remember the highs and the lows and the more lows and the lowest of times.
Back to Freddy Goodwin when I was knee high to a grasshopper and crawled under the turnstiles so my dad could have a beer in the Greenway before we went home.
I was there when we led Swindon (?) 4-1 with 20 mins to go and lost 4-6.
I was there when The Horse made it 3-0 against the vile (one of the greatest nights at St Andrews imo)
When Blues & Leeds clashed and that poor lad died.
The Carling Cup Final.

Season ticket next season.. ?,
Obviously.
