I been a Spurs fan since about 1988 and gazza was my first Spurs hero and have always had him down as the best player I have seen in a Spurs shirt, but this season Bale has torn that perception to bits. While Gazza was a joy to watch, with his dribbling, passing and the way he glided past people. Bale is just a monster, look at type of goals he has scored this season most of them have been wonder goals with no help from his team mates. While Gazza might have had the vision to slip a ball through a defence for someone else to score. Bale will just smash it in the top corner or power through the defence and slot it away.
So while a lot of us Spurs fans still hold gazza as our number 1 player the past 25 years, for me Bale has and will continue to eclipse him.

Hoddle was like a Rolls Royce he had it all he could pick a pass long or short he could run with the ball and he scored some great goals from midfield !!

Isnt it a shame that some players will be remembered more for what they have done / said after finishing their playing career?
This going for both Gazza & Hoddle i suppose.
I can see why certain legends & club cult heroes prefer to just stay out of the game fullstop after their playing days are over.

The amazing thing about that Hoddle volley is that the ball never touched the floor from the goal kick, bets thats not happened very often
That was my favorite Tottenham kit as well
