Rift between Amsterdam and Cape Town Ajax

Amsterdam Ajax have fallen out with Cape Town Ajax over the appointment of a new technical director Muhsin Ertugral, which resulted in the resignation of coach Jan Versleijen. I understand that Ertugral had now taken over as coach.

Amsterdams grievance stems from the fact that they were not consulted by cape town over the new appointment (Amsterdam own about 51% of their cape town counterparts). There has been some speculation that Amsterdam may withdraw their support of the south African Club.

One of the biggest names produced by the partnership between the two clubs is Steven Pinaar, who was an important player for Amsterdam in the early 2000s.
